Abstract: Since the emergence of Bitcoin in 2008, private digital currency has developed vigorously and the types have increased continuously. However, the total market value of 2018 has shrunk sharply, and a large number of investors have withdrawn from the market. At the same time, private digital currencies have a lot of problems in terms of legal nature and definition of responsibilities. Legal digital currency has the advantage of value support based on national credit, and the research of legal digital currency in China has been continuously promoted. In view of the new situation and problems of digital currency, we should continue to strengthen monitoring and research.
