    • Athough the release 15 standardization work in the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) of fifth generation(5G) communication system has been frozen, the research on key technologies and performace evaluations of 5G will still be important in the next decade. Driven by the requirement of realistic and flexible evaluation platforms, which can offer real-world environment and real-time traffic, the emulation platform of 5G communication systems has been a hot research topic. In this paper, an emulation approach of 5G communication systems is proposed. Based on open air interface (OAI), the application cases, system model, hardware environment and software architecture are presented. Moreover, the proposed emulation method can be an efficent tool for researching beyond fifth generation (B5G) and sixth generation communication systems.

    • Unlicensed spectrum usage is an important direction for 5G development. The specification work of 5G NR in unlicensed spectrum is operated in 3GPP R16. This paper gives a brief discussion on the crucial technologies and related designs in unlicensed band. The details include initial access technology, downlink and uplink channel design, HARQ design, FBE design and so on. Based on the technical discussions, the prospects of 5G technology for unlicensed spectrum usage in the future are also presented.

    • The first version of NR system mainly aimed to support the requirements of eMBB. Although URLLC is one of the most important use cases in NR system, there was less specific design for it. However, considering flexibility of system design and farward compatiblity, the design of the first NR version facilitates URLLC application and evolution in many aspects. The project of“Physical Layer Enhancements for NR Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communication (URLLC)”was approved in 3GPP for the design of the NR evlution system. During the research, the following potential technologies are identified for the evolution: PDCCH enhancements, UCI enhancements, PUSCH enhancements,enhancements to scheduling/HARQ/CSI processing timeline, UL inter UE Tx prioritization/multiplexing, and UL configured grant transmission, and etc.

    • As a new generation of human-computer interaction platform, Virtual Reality (VR) is mostly used in the exhibition hall, associated with impressions like similarity, stand-alone and niche. 5G helps to improve the immersive experience level of VR, reduce the difficulty of obtaining high-quality content and terminal cost, and realize industrial-level,interconnected, large- scale and differentiated applications. Based on China’s 5G Cloud VR policy status, application demonstration progress and industrial development bottleneck, it is recommended that the 5G Cloud VR industry focus on integration and innovation, improve the efficiency of innovation resource utilization, and carry out large-scale pilot project applications to explore potential solutions with huge benefits.

At the same time, we try to use the pillow and opencv library to compare images locally, and realize the function of applitools in the cloud.
