New models, experiences, and ideas for Beijing’s digital transformation: a case study of digital economy innovation and development

Abstract:

As the national capital and an international hub for scientific and technological innovation, Beijing places high priority on seizing the opportunities presented by the new wave of scientific and technological revolution. This paper focuses on the digital economy to explore Beijing’s new models, experiences, and approaches in its digital-intelligent transformation. It centers on the core themes of Beijing’s digital-intelligent transformation, elucidating its relationship with the city’s macro-level policies and evolutionary trajectory, while analyzing the supporting systems underpinning Beijing’s digital economic development. Finally, it summarizes Beijing’s six-dimensional practical experience in fostering innovative development of the digital economy.
