Abstract:
This paper examines the positive progress of green supply chain management in China’s manufacturing sector from several perspectives, including sustained and strong policy support, gradual improvement of standard systems, the emergence of benchmark enterprises, and significant advancements in green supply chain capacity. However, based on real-world enterprise management practices, several challenges have been identified, such as gaps in management concepts, insufficient capacity building, weak driving factors, inadequate response to international green supply chain requirements, and an underdeveloped green ecosystem. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a range of targeted measures based on China’s specific conditions. These include strengthening standardization efforts, enhancing multi-dimensional capabilities, leveraging industry benchmarks, improving service support, fostering international cooperation, and cultivating a green ecosystem to elevate the development of green supply chains to a new level.
