Abstract:

With the rapid development of network technology, users have higher requirements for their home network. Fiber to the room (FTTR) can solve the problem of an unstable wireless network. Based on the FTTR architecture, a centralized wireless-optical access network is introduced. Then, the main principles of coordinated spatial reuse technology and rate adaption for the next generation of Wi-Fi are discussed. Finally, the current challenges and future research directions are analyzed and prospected.

Key words: FTTR, centralized wireless-optical access network, coordinated spatial reuse
