Abstract:

Quantum computing is a candidate focus for advanced computing in the “post-Moore era.” Large-scale commercial quantum processors have not yet been broken through, and all parties are actively exploring future application models. Benchmarking technology is an important force to promote the development and application of the underlying hardware of quantum computing. This paper investigates and summarizes the research and development status of quantum computing benchmarking, and attempts to sort out and classify quantum computing benchmarking technology. Finally, the importance, problems and development trends of quantum computing benchmarks are analyzed and prospected.

Key words: quantum computing, benchmarking, technical architecture
