Abstract: In recent years, the construction of the LEO satellite internet constellation has been in full swing, driving the commercialization of satellite development, launch, ground terminals, industrial applications and other parts of the industrial chain. In addition to the satellite internet, the space-based cloud service industry, including the transmission, storage and operation of space-based data, has begun to emerge, and different forms of business attempts have been carried out. Many foreign start-up space companies are active in space-based cloud service industry, and the market growth has considerable potential. In this paper, the latest cases of foreign space-based cloud services are briefly classified, and the development modes of space-based cloud services such as space-based backbone network, spacebased server and shared satellite are put forward. By referring to the development modes and trends of ground-based cloud service industry, some preliminary suggestions are put forward for the development of space-based cloud service
industrialization in China.
