Abstract: The digital economy has flourished in recent years. The digital industrialization has accelerated the intergenerational overlap; the digital transformation of industries has speeded up; the contradiction between supply and demand of talents has become increasingly prominent; and the digital talent gap has become an important bottleneck restricting the development of China􀆳s digital economy. Through an in-depth analysis of the current three types of shortages faced by China􀆳s digital talents: quantitative shortage, quality shortage and structural shortage, this article discusses the main reasons in three dimensions, including supply, demand and supporting environment.
