Intelligent telecommunication networks: current status and future prospects

Abstract

Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) technology brings unprecedented opportunities for telecommunication networks, and provides efficient paths for the reconstruction of telecommunication industry. The application of AI could empower the telecommunication networks to realize intelligent deployment, operation, maintenance, optimization and management, and provide market promotion and service innovation. Currently, the intelligent application and standaradization of the telecommunication networks is gradually advanced. This paper summarizes the current status and progress of intelligent telecommunication networks in international and domestic standard organizations and industry areas, presents several research highlights, and propsects the future development of the network intelligence.
