Abstract: As the WHO has identified the COVID-19 epidemic as an “international public health emergency”, many countries have announced measures to impose immigration controls on China, suspend flights, and restrict import and export goods. Chinas foreign trade is under tremendous pressure from both inside and outside. Unlike the SARS outbreak in 2003, Chinas digital trade has further developed and matured, and it is playing an important role in stabilizing foreign trade and promoting resumption of work. China should further promote the digital transformation of the way trade is conducted, encourage support for the export of digital products and services, and accelerate the improvement of the digital service trade governance system.
