Abstract: US smart terminal litigation continues to rise. After the TC Heartland case, the most litigation venue for NPE became the Delaware District Court, followed by the EasternTexas District Court.The main initiator of SamrtTerminal litigation is still NPE.The surge in PTABfilings has become an important way for defendants to deal with patent litigation disputes. Most of the applications for PTABare entities, and the defendants are mostly NPEs.Amongthe patents involving smart terminals, the number of patents involved in the upper-level technical field is the largest. It is recommended that enterprises improve their intellectual property protection, competition and application capabilities on the one hand, and enhance the corresponding NPEstrategyon the other hand.
