Digital technology empowers green and low-carbon development: theory, practice, and challenges

Abstract:

Under the global trend of green and low-carbon development, digital technology has emerged as a pivotal enabler. This paper analyzes the theoretical linkages between digital technology and green low-carbon development, illustrates its applications through case studies in energy, industry, and other sectors, and proposes development strategies encompassing technological innovation and industrial integration. Additionally, it examines existing challenges and corresponding countermeasures. The research demonstrates that digital technology holds significant potential for advancing green and low-carbon development, with overcoming barriers to achieve deep integration representing a critical future direction.
