Abstract:

With the intensification of global climate change, energy conservation and carbon reduction have become a global focus. In China, existing public buildings have significant potential for energy conservation and carbon reduction during their operation phase. To enhance the energy efficiency of existing public buildings during operation and promote sustainable development, this paper introduces a study on energy-saving retrofitting of public buildings during the operation phase based on information and communication technology (ICT). The content covers the current status of energy conservation in existing public buildings, the existing problems, and the application of ICT in retrofitting for energy conservation in existing buildings, including data collection through the Internet of Things, energy-saving potential analysis through big data, and optimization strategies using artificial intelligence algorithms. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the advantages of using ICT for energy-saving and carbon-reducing retrofits and presents a benefit analysis of a retrofit case. It offers a new reference path for energy conservation and carbon reduction in the construction sector.
