Abstract:

Reducing carbon emissions has become an inherent requirement for the development of various industries. As a pioneer of digitalization, it is of great significance for digitalization to empower the low-carbon development of automobile industry. This paper first analyzes the boundary and connotation of the low-carbon development of automobile industry empowered by digitalization. Then, it points out that digitalization promotes the low-carbon development of all links in the full life cycle of automobile industry through concept reshaping, technological efficiency enhancement, and organizational reengineering. In addition, it also discusses the low-carbon management path of upstream and downstream industrial chain from the perspective of full life cycle supply chain. Finally, it proposes that the current low-carbon development of automobile industry empowered by digitalization still faces challenges such as difficulty in system coordination, imperfect digital infrastructure, constraints on the development of digital technology, and data security and network risks.
