Satellite payload amplifier performance research and communication waveform selection

Abstract:

The definition of waveform system of satellite communication system is one of the basic work for the establishment of system standard. Both the characteristic of the system waveform and the influence of the device characteristic on the signal propagation should be considered. In this paper, the RF characteristics of OFDM system waveform and FTs-OFDM system waveform after passing through payload amplifier were measured. Through EVM, PAPR, SNR demodulation threshold, efficiency and other indicators, the performance quality of the two systems signals under single carrier and four carrier scenarios was evaluated. Furthermore, suggestions are given for the selection of waveform system.
