Abstract

Abstract: In this paper, we propose all-optical networks with optical and electrical layer interactions, according to the requirements and challenges for development of optical transport network. Furthermore, we analyze the technical characteristics, networking scheme and control scheme of all-optical network. Finally, combining with the current network scenario, we show sever use cases and discusses how the operation efficiency and resource utilization can be improved by optical and electrical interaction.
