City brain development status, typical practice and path recommendation

Abstract

Abstract: With the rapid development of new technologies, smart cities have entered the deep end of its development. The city brain has shown great potential in breaking the information islands, amplifying the value of data elements, improving the urban governance capacity and promoting industrial development. It has become the standard allocation for smart cities. The research sorts out the current situation and development issues of the city brain industry, and thoroughly studies the typical practices of Hangzhou, Pudong, and Haidian city brains. This paper provides suggestions for city brain in terms of development concepts, top-level design, organizational mechanisms, construction priorities, and continuous operations, guiding the construction of city brains in various places.
