Abstract: The integrated satellite and terrestrial network is the development trend of future networks. Since the highly dynamic changes in the satellite constellation topology, there exist challenges in end-to-end service transmission. As an important technology for solving network dynamic management, software-defined networking has been applied to integrated satellite and terrestrial network in recent years. The existing integrated satellite and terrestrial network architectures based on software-define  networking are introduced, in which the deployment strategies of the controllers are studied. In addition, the application prospects of the software-defined integrated satellite and terrestrial network are analyzed.
