Current status and prospects of all-optical network technology,
standards and applications

Abstract

Abstract: The deployment of new infrastructure such as 5G and data centers and the overall digital transformation of the industry have further accelerated the development of optical fiber communication networks. This article focuses on the development of key technologies of all-optical networks based on wavelength channel cross-connect, the status quo of standardization, and the deployment and application of existing networks, and prospects for the future development of all-optical networks.
