Abstract: Multi-Access Edge Computing(MEC) is an indispensable part of 5G network architecture, which can meet the application scenarios with lower delay and higher bandwidth requirements. The connected vehicle is a typical scenario with low delay and high reliability requirements. Deploying C-V2X service on MEC platform can reduce the end-to-end data transmission delay, relieve the calculation and storage pressure of terminal or roadside intelligent facilities, reduce the network load caused by massive data return, and provide high-quality services with local characteristics. This paper focuses on the typical application scenarios and service processes of MEC in ICVs, sorts out the current situation and business model of the industry, and puts forward suggestions for the development of MEC and V2X integrated industry.
