Abstract: Recently, there has been a global upsurge in the construction of large LEO satellite network constellations, the coexistence of GEO and LEO will become a problem. Both GEO and LEO satellite communication system have got some unique advantages but there exist disadvantages, hence it cannot meet the demand of future network in a single way. This paper analyzed their advantages and disadvantages, and proposed an integrating path which compose terminal integration, management and operation integration and communication standards integration. We also proposed suggestions for the coordinated development of GEO and LEO satellite communication systems.
