摘要:

云网融合依托云的聚合能力,实现多技术要素的协同、集成及创新,成为面向垂直行业场景化需求的最佳选择。海量数据增长、数据频繁交互、摩尔定律放缓都对基础设施的性能和成本提出更高要求,智能网卡应运而生。通过对比以计算、数据为中心的加速处理模式,分析了智能网卡的学术研究进展、主流产品的特点及应用,并展望了智能网卡的技术发展趋势。分析结果表明,智能网卡能最大程度提升系统整体性能,为硬件处理器“减负”。

Abstract:

Cloud-network convergence relies on the aggregation capabilities of the cloud to realize the collaboration, integration and innovation of multiple technical elements, and has become the best choice for the scenario-based needs of vertical industries. Massive data growth, frequent data interaction, and the slowdown of Moore’s Law all place higher requirements on the performance and cost of infrastructure, and smart NICs emerge as the times require. This paper compares the two acceleration processing modes centered on computing and data, analyzes the academic research progress of smart NICs, the characteristics and applications of mainstream products, and looks forward to the technological development trend of smart NICs. The analysis results show that the intelligent network card can maximize the overall performance of the system and “reduce the burden” for the hardware processor.
